Cision, which is backed by GTCR, has acquired Gorkana Group Ltd. Financial terms weren’t announced but press reports have pegged the deal at more than 150 million pounds ($240 million). U.K.-based Gorkana is a media intelligence and data insights service provider. Latham & Watkins provided legal advice to GTCR.
CHICAGO (Oct. 22, 2014) – Cision, a leading provider of PR, social software and insight services, today announced that it acquired Gorkana Group Limited, a top U.K.-based media intelligence and data insights service provider, through its parent, Discovery Group Holdings Limited. This announcement comes on the heels of Cision’s recent combination with Vocus and its acquisition of Visible Technologies.
