CIT Gets Approval To Covert To Bank Holding Company

CIT Group has been approved by the Federal Reserve to covert itself into a bank holding company.

CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT), a leading commercial finance company, announced today that its application to become a bank holding company under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, as amended, has been approved by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
