Claritas Capital of Nashville Wants to Rock a $25M Fund

Nashville’s Claritas Capital is raising $25 million for its latest venture fund, according to a regulatory filing.

The filing shows that the firm has not yet raised any capital for Claritas Capital Fund V LP.

Claritas states on its website that it has “7 investment professionals with over 100 years of investment experience, and has made 50 investments since its formation in 2002.”

Claritas raised at least $6.78 million for venture fund IV in 2011, which listed a target of $50 million, according to Thomson Reuters (publisher of peHUB). The firm also raised $6 million for Claritas Capital Real Estate Fund I in 2011 and $35 million for Claritas Capital Speciality Debt Fund LP in 2010, Thomson Reuters reports.
