Astarte Capital Partners said April 4 that Nick Clayton has joined as an investment director, while Shaun Allan joined as an investment associate. Clayton most recently worked for BlackRock while Allan was with RBC.

Astarte Capital Partners announces the appointments of Nick Clayton as Investment Director and Shaun Allan as Investment Associate in the investment team in London.
London, 4th April 2019 – Astarte Capital Partners, a specialist alternatives co-investment platform with a focus on value-add real asset strategies, announces two appointments to its London-based investment team.
The two new hires strengthen Astarte’s investment team and coincide with the firm’s expansion and strategic development. Astarte’s global team is based across London, Zurich, Sydney and New York.

Nick has over ten years of experience in public and private real estate covering all aspects of investment and asset management across a wide range of sectors, structures and jurisdictions in Europe.
Prior to joining Astarte Capital Partners, Nick worked in fund management and investment at BlackRock and MGPA (formerly Macquarie Global Property Advisors) on opportunistic and value-add pan European real estate. Prior to joining MGPA, Nick worked for the boutique investment bank Oriel Securities (now Stifel) covering the real estate and retail sectors. Nick started his career at KPMG in financial advisory.
Nick holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, is a qualified chartered accountant and holds the Investment Property Forum diploma from the University of Cambridge.
Shaun joins Astarte from Royal Bank of Canada in London, where he spent almost two years advising on the buy side and sell side M&A transactions across the Utilities, Renewables and Transport sectors. He has specific deal experience in Midstream & Storage, Renewables and Airports.
Prior to RBC, he spent 18 months working at Deloitte Consulting in London with a focus on strategy and analytics projects.
Shaun holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Durham in the United Kingdom.
