Beijing Shishang Renjia Networks Technology (Daojia) has completed a series D round of financing, raising $50 million. JD.com, a B2C e-commerce company in China and Macquarie Capital co-led the investment. The business is an online food ordering and delivery service provider in China.
Beijing Shishang Renjia Networks Technology Co. Ltd. (“Daojia.com.cn” or “Daojia”), a leading online food ordering and delivery service provider in China, announced today that it has successfully completed its series D round of financing, raising US$50 million. JD.com (NASDAQ: JD), a leading B2C e-commerce company in China, and Macquarie Capital co-led the investment.

Daojia is a self-operated, community-based delivery network operating in eight major cities in China. With nearly one million registered customers, the company primarily focuses on restaurant food delivery, which has traditionally been an underserviced sector in China. Daojia takes orders through its apps, website and call centers.
This marks Daojia’s fourth round of fundraising, with the previous round having completed in September 2013. JD.com participated in the Series C round of investment last year.
Established in April 2010, Daojia is focused on online food ordering and delivery services targeting China’s middle-class urban population. Customers can order meals from a wide variety of local restaurants through Daojia’s website, mobile apps or call center, which will then be delivered by Daojia’s self-operated delivery team. Daojia currently covers the urban areas in eight cities, including Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou. It has nearly a million users, and partners with more than 3,000 restaurants.
