David MacNeill appointed new CEO of Cadent-backed Logan International

Logan International Inc (TSX: LII) has named David MacNeill as the company’s new president and CEO. MacNeill will replace Gerald Hage, who is retiring in June. Prior to joining Logan as COO, MacNeill led DoubleBarrel Downhole Technologies and held executive positions in other energy-related businesses. Based in Calgary, Logan manufactures and sells a comprehensive line of quality fishing and intervention tools for the oil and gas industry. It has been a portfolio company of U.S. private equity firm Cadent Energy Partners since 2006.

Logan International Reports Changes in Executive Management

CALGARY, ALBERTA, May 09, 2014 (Marketwired via COMTEX) — Logan International Inc. CA:LII 0.00% (“Logan” or the “Company”) today announced the following changes in its executive management. Effective June 16, 2014, Gerald Hage will retire as Logan’s President and Chief Executive Officer and David MacNeill, the current Chief Operating Officer, has been appointed to replace Mr. Hage. Mr. Hage will continue on the board as a director, as well as assist with the transition of the new President and Chief Executive Officer.

Previously, Mr. MacNeill held several positions with National Oilwell Varco, including Vice President of Eastern Hemisphere Operations, where he was responsible for managing drilling and fishing tools, among other products. After growing up and being educated in Eastern Canada, David began his career with Schlumberger in wireline services in Alberta and is well-versed in Canadian operations. He subsequently moved to international postings with Schlumberger, where he was focused primarily on drilling engineering in the West African, Eastern European and Far East markets. We believe his experience in overseas oil and gas management and operations will accelerate growth in Logan’s international business.”
