David Yoo Joins SF Investment

David Yoo has joined Seoul-based SF Investment as a managing director and head of the Americas. He previously was with EarlyBirdCapital as vice president of I-banking.

SF Investment, a private investment firm based out of Seoul, Korea and affiliate of SoftForum (KOSDAQ: 054920), announced today that David Yoo has joined the firm as managing director and head of the Americas.

 

SF Investment has been making a number of moves to implement a growth strategy as it positions itself to expand its investment, finance and advisory operations in emerging growth markets and to diversify its sources of capital.

 

Mr. Yoo will report directly to Sang-Chul Kim, Chairman of SF Investment. Mr. Yoo brings extensive experience in the U.S. capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and SPACs and is expected to spearhead the company’s global finance operations, including publicly-filed Korea Milestone Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: KMAC). One of Mr. Yoo’s first projects will be to consummate ongoing efforts to raise $100 million for the acquisition of an operating company in Korea. Under this directive, Mr. Yoo will initially focus on investment opportunities in East Asia, particularly Korea, China and Japan and the US.

 

Mr. Yoo comes from EarlyBirdCapital where he was most recently a vice president of investment banking focusing on corporate finance opportunities. Mr. Yoo earned an MBA in finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University and a BA from the University of California at Berkeley.
