PRESS RELEASE
Definition 6, Inc., an integrated interactive marketing agency, today announced it has acquired the assets of Leach Communications Inc. (LEACH), a leading New York public relations and Web services firm.
The transaction enables Definition 6 to integrate public relations into its delivery of integrated interactive marketing services, and expand the range of its service offerings to meet increased demand from challenger brands and market leaders.
Upon completion of the transaction, Alfred Leach, LEACH founder and president, will lead Definition 6’s National Public Relations & Communications discipline. Additional terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With its integration of LEACH, Definition 6 has expanded its marketing service offerings to include:
•   Brand & SEO Reputation Management
•   Corporate Transaction & Proxy Communications
•   Crisis Communications
•   Customer Relationship & Engagement
•   Event Publicity
•   Investor Relations
•   Social Media & Blog Communications
•   Strategic Communications & Media Relations
Definition 6’s growth strategy is to provide brand marketers a robust suite of fully integrated end-to-end marketing solutions – including Public Relations, Social Media, Website Design & Development, E-commerce, Application Development, SEO, Web Analytics and Rich Media – that are delivered by Definition 6 strategy and consulting experts. Â
Earlier this year, Definition 6 secured up to $15 million in private equity investment from Navigation Capital Partners to support its growth plan via organic and strategic acquisitions. In August, the agency also completed its acquisition of Creative Bubble, one of the broadcasting and entertainment industry’s premier video, post production and rich media services firms.
“With Definition 6’s expansion into public relations, we are tearing down the marketing and communications silos that confront traditional agencies and often impede their ability to deliver truly integrated solutions,” said Michael Kogon, founder and CEO, Definition 6 LLC. “LEACH was an early adopter of blending public relations with interactive marketing and Web solutions. They know how to craft the brand message, assess clients’ needs with a macro view and an eye toward business and revenue objectives, and strategically employ all of the necessary channels to reach and engage a brand’s key constituents.” Â
“As more brands switch from traditional to interactive marketing, they require service from professionals who understand business strategy, marketing, social media, reputation management and the nuances and preferences of how, when and where their key audiences want to be engaged with their brand,” said Alfred Leach, founder and president, Leach Communications Inc. “Definition 6 has a clear vision of how brands should be served. Companies indicate all too often that they are tired of managing multiple vendors that often have conflicting interests. Clients want a partner with the resident skills, strategic consulting and new media technology capabilities to deliver seamless solutions that meet their brand’s market share and image needs. Definition 6 has the capabilities and the talent to fulfill those needs.”
Founded in 1997, Definition 6 is best known for its full-service interactive marketing capabilities, working to help companies like La Quinta Inns & Suites, Coca-Cola, VeriFone, and Cox Enterprises, Inc. to develop and execute interactive marketing strategies designed to gain market share.
Founded in 2001, LEACH has delivered integrated communications and Web technology solutions to leading Fortune 500 and emerging growth companies including The New York Times, IMD Business School, China Telecom Americas, Enalasys and Fast Company.
