Delivery.com, LLC, an online service that connects customers to local businesses, said on Tuesday that it will buy the key assets of Brinkmat, LLC. This acquisition includes Brinkmat.com, a New York-based site for free local pick-up and delivery of laundry, dry cleaning and tailoring. No financial terms were disclosed. Delivery.com is a portfolio company of Cantor Ventures, the venture capital and enterprise development division of Cantor Fitzgerald.

The acquisition builds on delivery.com’s strategy to empower the neighborhood economy by enabling customers to order online from local businesses.

Brinkmat.com will continue operating as a separate website initially, and is planned to become integrated into the delivery.com experience later this year. Based in New York, Brinkmat was established in 2012 and has built a growing network of New York City based cleaners. Brinkmat co-founders, Tim O’Malley and Jay Winters , are joining delivery.com as senior members of the technology team.
