PRESS RELEASE

RBC Capital Markets today announced the appointment of Bill Drewry to its U.S. Communications, Media & Entertainment Investment Banking group as a Managing Director. He is based in New York and will help lead RBC’s Media effort.

Drewry joins RBC Capital Markets from Diamond Castle Holdings, a leading NYC-based private equity firm where he was an Operating Partner overseeing the firm’s Media vertical. He has nearly 20 years of experience in the Communications, Media & Entertainment space at UBS and Credit Suisse. At UBS, Drewry was a Managing Director in the Global Media investment banking group responsible for leading the Entertainment and large cap Media sector client coverage. At Credit Suisse, Drewry served within Equity Research as Global Head of Media covering multiple media sectors. He was a top ranked analyst for 10 years, achieving a Number 1 ranking in Institutional Investor four times.

“We are pleased to welcome Bill, an industry veteran, to our banking platform,” said Blair Fleming, RBC Capital Markets’ Head of U.S. Investment Banking. “Bill’s coverage and relationships with both corporates and sponsors within the Media landscape will bring additional capabilities to RBC. Bill will leverage his knowledge and experience with large and mid-cap media companies in addition to emerging new media companies to expand our coverage of the sector.”

Drewry is the latest in a spate of hires announced by RBC Capital Markets’ U.S. Investment Banking platform. In April, the firm added three senior bankers including Joseph Carey, Managing Director in the Energy group; Doug Yablonski, Managing Director in the M&A group; and David Nadelman, Managing Director in the Loan Capital Markets group. Since January 2010, the group has added approximately 130 professionals in the U.S. and has increased its sector coverage by building out its Insurance and Finance teams.

RBC Capital Markets’ investment banking division currently covers 12 industries from the U.S., including Aerospace & Defense / Government Services; Communications, Media & Entertainment; Consumer & Retail; Energy; Financial Institutions; Industrials & Diversified Services; Infrastructure; Healthcare; Power & Utilities; Real Estate; Technology; and Transportation.
