Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge announced that Walter Reed has been elected to serve as the law firm's new managing partner. He succeeds Terrence Finn and Charles DeWitt Jr., who have served as co-managing partners since the 2005 merger of Edwards & Angell and Palmer & Dodge. Reed joined the firm in 1981, and has focused on corporate transactions.
Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP is pleased to announce that Walter G.D. Reed has been elected to serve as the Firm's new Managing Partner. Reed is succeeding Terrence M. Finn and Charles E. DeWitt, Jr. who have served as the Co-Managing Partners of EAPD since the merger of Edwards & Angell and Palmer & Dodge in 2005.

As a corporate lawyer, Reed has served as general counsel to a number of major business clients and specializes in corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and private equity investments. He has been recognized by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business and The Best Lawyers In America in the areas of corporate, mergers and acquisitions and securities law. Reed graduated from Harvard University, magna cum laude, and Columbia School of Law where he was both a Chancellor Kent Scholar and a Harlan Stone Scholar.
Reed joined the Firm in 1981. He has served on the Firm's Executive Committee for 11 years, acting as Deputy Managing Partner and Vice Chair of the Edwards & Angell Executive Committee until being named Chair of the EAPD Executive Committee in November 2005.
