EIF hires Brown as principal, will head new NY office

San Francisco-based venture firm The Ecosystem Integrity Fund has named Sasha Brown as a principal. Brown will head EIF’s new office in New York. Previously, Brown was a principal at New World Capital.

NEW YORK/SAN FRANCISCO – October 20, 2016 – The Ecosystem Integrity Fund, a topranked venture capital firm specializing in sustainability and known by its flagship fund as EIF, today announced that Sasha Brown has joined the firm as a Principal and will head EIF’s new office in New York, the first for this San Francisco-based firm.

Ms. Brown joins effective immediately in this newly created position and is responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, and working with portfolio companies and LPs. She becomes a member of EIF’s investment team and reports to co-founders and partners, James Everett and Devin Whatley.

Prior to joining EIF, Ms. Brown was a Principal at New World Capital where she co-led four growth equity transactions in residential solar, diesel pollution reduction and power electronics.

She is a Board Director at PosiGen Solar Solutions, New Orleans. Ms. Brown earned a Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering from Yale University.
