The Toronto-based Bastion Infrastructure Group has announced the appointment of Enrique Fuentes as a partner on the firm’s investment team. Mr. Fuentes has over 20 years of infrastructure investment and management experience, which includes his 13 years with Cintra S.A. and Ferrovial S.A. Bastion targets investments in the power, water, transportation and energy infrastructure sectors.
Bastion Infrastructure Group hires global infrastructure expert Enrique Fuentes for Investment Team
Toronto, February 25, 2013 – Bastion Infrastructure Group (“Bastion”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Enrique Fuentes as a Partner on Bastion’s Investment team. He will be based in Toronto, Canada.
Mr. Fuentes has over 20 years of extensive infrastructure investment and management experience. He brings industrial and financial expertise as a strategic investor and asset manager from his 13 years with Cintra, S.A. and Ferrovial, S.A. where he was responsible for overseeing the build-out of their concession business in roads and airports. In that position, Mr. Fuentes evaluated, researched and made significant investments across Europe, North America and South America. These included large, complex transactions such as the CAD $3.1 billion purchase of the 407 ETR toll road outside of Toronto, and ground-breaking transport transactions in Chile, Spain and Portugal.
Most recently, Mr. Fuentes was Senior Director of Global Infrastructure for KPMG where he provided advice to governments on the development and implementation of public-private partnerships and to developers and investors interested in investing in and managing transportation projects.

– Ms. Karynna Ma, Vice President – Investor Relations. Prior to joining Bastion, Ms. Ma was Director of Managed Assets at Mackenzie Investments.
