FFL Backs Strategic Investment Group

Private equity investor FFL has completed an investment in asset management firm Strategic Investment Group. Terms were not released. The partners of Arlington, Va.-based Strategic Investment Group retain a “significant financial interest” in the company, according to a press release. FFL is based in San Francisco.

FFL, a private equity firm focused on growth investments, today announced that it has completed an investment in Strategic Investment Group, a leading institutional asset management firm with more than $29 billion of assets under management. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The partners of Strategic Investment Group retain a significant financial interest in the company and will continue to manage operations.

 

Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, Strategic Investment Group provides investment outsourcing services for institutional and private investors. The firm’s proprietary process combines active portfolio management, rigorous risk management and open-architecture manager selection. Strategic Investment Group’s clients include corporate pension funds, healthcare systems, non-U.S. government entities, foundations, endowments and wealthy families.
