Fiera Capital Corp has appointed John Valentini as executive vice president and CFO. Prior to joining the Montréal-based investment firm, Valentini was executive vice president, CFO and COO of Canadian pension fund manager PSP Investments. Also, Fiera has promoted Sylvain Roy to president and COO of its Canadian division. The firm also added David Stréliski to its team as senior vice president and chief risk officer.

Fiera Capital is also pleased to announce that Sylvain Roy has been promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer of our Canadian division, effective October 1, 2015. Both will be reporting directly to Sylvain Brosseau, Fiera Capital’s global President and Chief Operating Officer.

Mr. Valentini is an industry veteran with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in corporate finance and investment management. At Fiera Capital, he will spearhead the finance, operations and information technology, legal and compliance, and enterprise risk management functions as well as play a key role in strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Fiera Capital, he was executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer of PSP Investments, one of Canada’s largest pension investment managers. Before he joined PSP investments as chief financial officer in 2005, he held a series of key executive roles in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring for public companies.

In his new position, Mr. Roy will lead Fiera Capital’s Canadian operating division and related activities including the Canadian chief investment officer function.
