First Reserve, a global private equity firm focused on energy, said on Monday that it has hired Robert Hanna as a new asset manager. He will be working in the firm’s Houston office. Prior to joining First Reserve, Hanna served as a senior director of asset management at Consolidated Asset Management Services.

He joins the dedicated infrastructure investment team and brings extensive operational experience in all aspects of electricity supply and generation.

Mr. Hanna most recently served as a senior director of asset management at Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS). As a portfolio manager, he was responsible for leading a team of asset managers, accountants and technical specialists to maximize the value of an 1100MW portfolio of peaking, combined cycle and cogeneration facilities. His career also included 16 years at Reliant Energy and its affiliates (now NRG Energy) where his responsibilities spanned both asset optimization as well as the commercial aspects of managing various power portfolios. He has extensive experience across the conventional power, renewable power and transmission/distribution industries.
Mr. Hanna joins the infrastructure investment team in the Houston office of First Reserve.
