FleetPride Adds On

FleetPride, an independent aftermarket distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, has acquired Automotive Brake Co. of Newburgh Inc. No financial terms were disclosed. FleetPride is owned by Investocrp, Banc of America Capital Investors and company management.

In a move reflecting the company’s continued growth, FleetPride, Inc., the nation’s largest independent aftermarket distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, announced the acquisition of Automotive Brake Co. of Newburgh, Inc. Automotive Brake has been in business since 1932 and has two locations in New York State – a 28,841 square foot New Windsor facility and a 4,800 square foot facility in Port Ewen.

Automotive Brake was purchased in 1991 by Joe Fischera and Steve Nordahl. Fischera will stay on as Assistant Area Manager for both of the acquired locations and FleetPride has extended employment offers to all Automotive Brake employees.
