Freeman Spogli taps Sheets as senior adviser

Freeman Spogli & Co has named Betty Sheets as a senior adviser. Her appointment begins January 2018. Previously, Sheets worked at IBM where she invested in and managed the company’s private equity partnerships.

Los Angeles, CA / New York, NY, December 19, 2017 – Freeman Spogli & Co. is pleased to announce that long-time private equity industry veteran, Betty Sheets, will join the firm as a Senior Advisor in January 2018.

Ms. Sheets spent the past 25 years at I.B.M. investing in and managing its private equity partnerships. In that role, she served on numerous Limited Partner Advisory Boards for U.S., European, and Asian funds. I.B.M. has invested with Freeman Spogli since 1988.

Ms. Sheets has a B.S. from the University of Delaware, a M.A. and M. Ph. from Columbia University, and an M.B.A. from Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
