Press Release

Frontier Capital, a growth equity firm focused exclusively on technology enabled business services, has led a $16 million Series B Financing of Fort Worth, Texas-based Simpli.fi.

“Simpli.fi’s use of unstructured data meets a critical market need to deliver the efficiencies of programmatic buying and the effectiveness of custom-built audience targeting and optimization to advertisers of all sizes.”

Simpli.fi is an advertising technology company that leverages unstructured data to offer advertisers, publishers, and media networks a platform that allows them to enjoy powerful cost advantages, minute-by-minute control of campaign details and enhanced levels of performance and reporting. The company will use the growth capital injection to expand its sales and marketing efforts and to continue development of its proprietary advertising technology platform. Company executives expect the majority of the employee growth to be in Simpli.fi’s Fort Worth, Texas, headquarters.

With its latest funding round, Simpli.fi will be able to position itself to deliver major advances in programmatic marketing solutions for both national and local advertisers and publishers by accelerating demand from agencies, trading desks, local and national media networks and other marketers seeking to capitalize on the benefits of unstructured data in programmatic marketing. Simpli.fi will also utilize the capital to further the development of its In.finity Programmatic Marketing Platform across media types including display, mobile, and video.

“Simpli.fi has the potential to disrupt the programmatic marketing space with its proprietary technology and proven service model,” said Michael Ramich, partner at Frontier Capital. “Simpli.fi’s use of unstructured data meets a critical market need to deliver the efficiencies of programmatic buying and the effectiveness of custom-built audience targeting and optimization to advertisers of all sizes.” Ramich will join the Simpli.fi Board of Directors.

“It is estimated that over 80% of all business data is in an unstructured format, yet we are the only platform that has the capability to apply that information to programmatic marketing,” said Frost Prioleau, CEO and co-founder of Simpli.fi. “Our ability to utilize unstructured data for audience targeting, real-time bidding, optimization, and reporting at the individual data element level improves on the legacy approach of segment-based marketing, enabling precision and performance at any scale.”

Since the company’s founding in 2010, Simpli.fi has experienced a 242% compound annual growth rate, with more than 50,000 successful advertising campaigns launched through the Simpli.fi platform.
