General Atlantic’s CLEAResult agrees to buy APT

CLEAResult, a portfolio company of General Atlantic, has agreed to acquire Applied Proactive Technologies. No financial terms were disclosed. Headquartered in Springfield, Mass., APT is a maker of energy efficiency consumer products programs and services.


AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CLEAResult, a leader in designing and implementing technology-enabled energy efficiency programs for utilities, governments, schools and businesses, announced today that it has entered into an agreement to buy Applied Proactive Technologies (APT), headquartered in Springfield, Massachusetts. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1996, APT has been an industry leader in designing and implementing energy efficiency consumer products programs and services. With the addition of APT, CLEAResult strengthens its leadership in market-based energy efficiency programs that educate and motivate consumers to purchase energy efficient products for their homes and businesses using its technology-enabled services platform.
