GI Partners-owned Togetherwork acquires UnionWare

Togetherwork has acquired UnionWare, a Winnipeg-based union membership management software company.

No financial terms were disclosed.

Founded in 1991 by President Jim Perchaluk, UnionWare serves labour organizations in Canada, the United States and Australia representing more than 3.5 million members.

Togetherwork, a New York-based provider of software and payments for groups and organizations of all types and sizes, said the acquisition, its first internationally, expands its geographic footprint.

Togetherwork was acquired last year by U.S. private equity firm GI Partners. The seller was Aquiline Capital Partners.

Software Provider to Unions Poised to Expand Member Recruiting and Payments Services


Togetherwork, the emerging leader in Group Management Software and Payments, announced today it has acquired UnionWare. Unionware provides a full suite of capabilities to unions, including back-office administration, dues processing, grievance and case management, contract management, events, certifications, online payments, and tools for representatives at the doorstep and in the workplace.

The recent Janus vs. AFSCME Supreme Court ruling has created challenges for many American unions and UnionWare has set out to tackle this head on with tools focused on member retention, recruitment and engagement.
