NEW YORK (AP) – Wind turbine maker Nordic Windpower Ltd. said Monday investment bank Goldman Sachs Group Inc. has made “a significant investment” in the company.
Nordic said the infusion will help the company meet growing turbine demand as it prepares to begin U.S. production. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The privately held company, based in San Rafael, Calif., was formed by combining operations in Sweden, the United Kingdom and the U.S. It has received funding from the Swedish government and the European Union.
