Goldman Sachs invests in mid-market lender Varagon

Since its inception in 2014, Varagon has invested more than $21 billion in middle market loans.

Goldman Sachs Asset Management has made an investment in Varagon Capital Partners, a middle-market lender. No financial terms were disclosed.

Varagon Capital Partners is a private credit manager, specializing in secured first lien and unitranche loans to performing, private equity-backed, U.S. middle market companies. Varagon has offices in New York, Chicago and Fort Worth.

As of March 31, 2022, Varagon Capital Partners has approximately $15.1 billion in assets under management. Since its inception in 2014,Varagon has invested more than $21 billion in middle market loans.

As of March 31, 2022, Goldman Sachs Asset Management oversees more than $2 trillion in assets.
