Good Energies Promotes Will Nesbitt

Good Energies has promoted Will Nesbitt to managing director. He had joined the firm in 2007 as a director, after having been a managing director with Kirkland Investment Corp.

Good Energies, a leading global investor in renewable energy and energy efficiency industries, today announced the promotion of William Nesbitt to Managing Director, effective January 1, 2009.  Mr. Nesbitt has also joined the Managing Board of Good Energies. 

 

Mr. Nesbitt has been a key member of the global solar team since joining Good Energies in 2007 as a Director and Executive Vice President in the firm’s New York office.  In this capacity he has utilized his broad range of skills and experience to help lead key investments in the solar industry.

Mr. Nesbitt, 47, was formerly a Managing Director of Kirkland Investment Corp., a boutique merchant banking firm.  Before joining Kirkland, he was a Partner of Park Avenue Equity Partners, L.P., where he was responsible for identifying middle market acquisition opportunities on behalf of the firm’s private equity fund and for directing the firm’s merger and acquisition advisory business.

 

Prior to joining Park Avenue, Mr. Nesbitt was a Senior Vice President of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings, where he was responsible for identifying and executing leveraged buyout and venture capital investment opportunities.  He was also Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, for two of its NYSE listed portfolio companies, MAFCO Consolidated Group Inc. and M&F Worldwide Inc.  Mr. Nesbitt’s earlier work experience includes serving as a General Partner and co-founder of Lakeview Partners, L.P. and as Vice President of Coniston Partners, L.P., both of which were founded by Gollust, Tierney and Oliver.

Mr. Nesbitt graduated summa cum laude from Duke University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and received an MBA from Harvard Business School.
