GREE Snaps Up App Ant Studios

GREE, a mobile gaming platform company, has acquired App Ant Studions Inc., a Bay Area mobile game development studio. Terms of the deal were not released. GREE has offices in San Francisco and Tokyo.

GREE, a leading mobile gaming content and platform provider, today announced that it acquired App Ant Studios, Inc., a Bay Area-based mobile game development studio. Founded by four industry veterans with over 12 collective years of experience, App Ant Studios will help GREE expand its portfolio of unique game content for users worldwide.

App Ant Studios, which worked with GREE earlier this year to develop the Android title Dino Life, will now join GREE’s San Francisco-based studio. All members of App Ant Studios’ current team will be integrated into GREE, including its four founders, who will take leadership roles within the Game Development and Engineering teams.
