Harris Williams Opens London Office, Hires Thierry Monjauze

Harris Williams & Co., an investment bank focused on the middle markets, is opening a London office, which would lead the firm’s European advisory practice. It will be led by Thierry Monjauze, who previously was co-head of European technology investment banking for Deutsche Bank.


Harris Williams & Co. Ltd is opening a London office as part of an international expansion to serve the middle market. The London office, central to the firm’s European advisory practice, is led by Thierry Monjauze and comprised of a team of seasoned professionals. The firm anticipates increased global M&A activity throughout 2010 and is planning to hire additional senior professionals to drive its expansion within the middle market.

Monjauze, who brings over 14 years of investment banking experience, joins Harris Williams & Co. Ltd from Deutsche Bank, where he was most recently co-head of European technology investment banking. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he worked in venture capital and led the European internet and software practices for Credit Suisse First Boston. He has previously advised companies such as Alcatel, AOL, Autonomy, Bertelsmann, eBay, Gemalto, Getronics, Hewlett Packard, IAC, Interhyp, MutuiOnline, Nokia, Sage, Schlumberger, Sony Ericsson, Sophos, Tieto, XING and Yandex.
