Hickey Joins Ares Management as Operating Advisor

William Hickey, the former Chairman and CEO of Sealed Air Corp., has joined Ares Management as an Operating Advisor in the firm’s private equity group. He will assist in the sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities.

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Ares Management LLC today announced the engagement of William Hickey, the former Chairman and CEO of Sealed Air Corp., as an Operating Advisor to the firm’s Private Equity Group, where he will assist in the sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities.

Mr. Hickey will be working most closely with Brian Klos, a Principal in the Ares Private Equity Group, who is responsible for leading the firm’s private equity investing activities across all industrial markets.

Mr. Hickey served for 13 years as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sealed Air Corp., a manufacturer of packaging and performance-based materials and equipment systems that serve food, industrial, medical and consumer applications. Prior to becoming CEO, he served in a variety of increasingly responsible executive positions after joining the company in 1980. Currently, Mr. Hickey is a member of the Board of Directors of Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated, a public utility, and Sensient Technologies Corporation, a global manufacturer and marketer of colors, flavors and fragrances and other specialty chemicals. Mr. Hickey received his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the United States Naval Academy and his Masters of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. He received a Certificate in Professional Accounting from Northwestern University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
