HPE Growth has named Wijnand Bekker as an associate and Laura Kone as an analyst.

HPE Growth has named Wijnand Bekker as an associate and Laura Kone as an analyst. Both joined the pan-European growth equity firm’s investment team.

Amsterdam, 19 April 2022 – HPE Growth, a pan-European growth equity firm has appointed two new members to its investment team as it continues its development. Wijnand Bekker, Associate, and Laura Kone, Analyst, have joined the team in April.

As an Associate with a focus on Venture Capital, Wijnand Bekker will bring expertise in venture investing to HPE Growth’s strategy. Bekker joins after a period at Rabo Frontier Ventures where he focused on FinTech and AgriTech investments. Bekker holds a BSc from the University of Groningen in Econometrics and Operations Research, as well as a MSc from the Erasmus School of Economics in Econometrics and Management Science with a focus in Business Analytics and Quantitative Marketing.

Laura Kone joins as an Analyst from J.P. Morgan’s London office, where she focused on Semiconductors, Payments, and Telecommunications. Kone will join the investment team to support HPE Growth’s expansion across European technology investment. Kone holds a BSc from Maastricht University in Business and Business Economics with a minor in Microeconomics, as well as a MSc with Distinction from King’s College, London, in Finance and Data Analytics.
