Hudson’s Bay bids to acquire American peer Kohl’s: Reuters

Canadian department store chain Hudson’s Bay Company is bidding for American peer Kohl’s Corp, Reuters reported. The Wall Street Journal reported that US private equity firm Sycamore Partners is also planning a bid. Hudson’s Bay went private in 2020 through a C$1.1 billion acquisition led by executive chairman Richard Baker and including Rhône Capital and other investors.
