PRESS RELEASE

Huntington Capital completes investment in award winning interactive digital media company.

Huntington Capital Fund II, LP (“Huntington”), a San Diego based lower-middle market focused private equity mezzanine fund, is pleased to announce its investment in Crescent House Publishing, Inc. (CHP), a Carlsbad, California based company. The financing was provided to facilitate the deployment of touch-screen interactive digital units with CHP’s software, known as “Scentsa®” and “ScentsaBeauty®,” used by Sephora, JCPenney and DFS Galleria, as well as digital media advertising in Barnes & Noble College Bookstores.

Founded in 1992, CHP is an award-winning interactive digital media company (Cisco Growing with Technology Honor, Stevie Award for Woman Entrepreneurs, and FiFi Award for Technological Innovation from The Fragrance Foundation). Its Scentsa® software is a proprietary touch-screen program developed for retailers. Scentsa software combines digital media, interactive features and an extensive database that enables retail clients to provide shoppers with a unique experience when making buying decisions. The interactive wall mounted screen is a useful tool for customers wishing to search for products and for sales associates to showcase and explain products. Backing the Scentsa software is a multilingual proprietary database of fragrances, skincare, and makeup developed by its founder and Co-CEO Jan Moran, a world renowned beauty expert and bestselling author.

The CHP software and interactive marketing solutions are ideal for specialty retailers in situations where:

i. Retailers stock a diverse assortment of products,
ii. Purchase decisions are facilitated or enhanced by salespersons’
expert knowledge,
iii. Customer’s desire for knowledge enhances the buying decision and
product enjoyment, and results in continued patronage.

“This is a talented team with vision and a keen ability to execute using interactive digital technology. We are thrilled to play a part in this rapidly growing company,” noted Huntington Managing Partner Morgan Miller.

“We have been impressed by Huntington Capital’s flexible approach to structuring the funding arrangements, as well as the desire to be involved when needed to help our business grow with both the proper financial tools and business insights. We have a tremendous amount of respect for the Huntington team and look forward to building our company with them in the future.” says CHP Co-CEO Steven Fish.
