PRESS RELEASE
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–IFM Investors today announced the appointment of Michael Kulper as Executive Director, Infrastructure. Mr. Kulper brings more than 20 years of experience in the transaction origination and asset management space.
He is based in IFM Investors’ New York office and reports to Alec Montgomery, Head of Infrastructure – North America. Mr. Kulper will primarily focus on deal origination.
“As one of the leading practitioners in the infrastructure space, Michael has extensive experience working with critical stakeholders, from the public sector to strategic partners,” said Montgomery. “His addition, coupled with other recent significant additions at IFM, further bolsters our experience and capability on both the North American and global scale.”
Prior to joining IFM Investors, Mr. Kulper spent the last decade as the founding president of Transurban’s North American toll roads concessions business. Mr. Kulper developed a leading business by successfully developing, investing, delivering and establishing operations for a $3BN portfolio of toll road concessions. His accountabilities included management of the overall business, reporting through the CEO to the Board. Prior to Transurban, Michael spent eleven years at Credit Suisse, rising to the level of Director, Investment Banking, where he originated and executed M&A and capital raisings. Mr. Kulper commenced his career at Westpac Banking Corporation in Sydney.
The appointment of Mr. Kulper is another significant addition to the firm’s North American infrastructure equity team, following the appointment earlier this year of Tom Osborne as Executive Director. In October, IFM Investors appointed Rich Randall to head its infrastructure debt capability in North America.
