


The Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), which represents the interests of global private equity limited partner organizations, has appointed Jennifer Choi to the role of managing director, industry affairs, and Nicole Caty to managing director, membership and events. Choi joins the IPLA after eight years as a vice president at the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association, while Caty joins after 18 years in roles within the banking industry, most recently at HSBC. The executive director of the Toronto-based ILPA is Kathy Jeramaz-Larson.

Institutional Limited Partners Association Announces Two Key Senior Level Hires
TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–
The Institutional Limited Partners Association (“ILPA”) is pleased to announce the appointment of two key senior hires to the association: Jennifer Choi to Managing Director, Industry Affairs, and Nicole Caty to Managing Director, Membership & Events. “We are pleased to be adding such talented executives to enhance and broaden the ILPA team,” said Michael Mazzola, ILPA Chairman (MetLife). “The ILPA has an ambitious strategy and having the capabilities that Jennifer and Nicole add to the team will allow us to accelerate a number of our programs.”
Jennifer Choi joins the ILPA after 8 years as EMPEA’s Vice President, Industry and External Affairs, where she managed the Associations’ member and industry engagement initiatives. “Jennifer’s experience working with industry associations and legal and regulatory bodies around the world, positions her well for this role,” said Stephen Whatmore, Chair of ILPA’s Industry Affairs Committee (QIC Limited). “Her collaborative disposition and knowledge of private equity will allow her to leverage the ILPA’s global education, research and membership platforms to advance ILPA’s work to engage industry thought-leaders on issues impacting the asset class.”
Nicole Caty joins the ILPA after 18 years in progressive roles within the banking industry, most recently at HSBC as an investment banker focused on M & A transactions. “Nicole’s solid relationship management skills will serve her well as she extends her reach globally and engages with our 300+ member organizations,” said Kathy Jeramaz-Larson, Executive Director ILPA. “Having a dedicated executive attending to the needs of our members has been a priority for the association and adding Nicole to the team is a very positive step for us.”
