India’s Axis Raising $250 Million Infrastructure Fund

MUMBAI (Reuters) – India’s Axis Private Equity, a unit of private sector lender Axis Bank (AXBK.BO), hopes to raise an additional $250 million for its infrastructure fund in 6-9 months, its chief executive said on Wednesday.

The fund has already invested two-thirds of its first $150 million.

“We will continue to invest in infrastructure services firms and infrastructure ancillaries,” Alok Gupta told Reuters at a private equity conference. (Reporting by Narayanan Somasundaram; Editing by John Mair)
