Intermedix Adds On

Intermedix Corp., provider of billing services to emergency medical service providers in Texas, has acquired EMSystems LLC, a Milwaukee-based provider of online healthcare IT solutions in the public health and emergency services markets. No financial terms were disclosed. Intermedix is a portfolio company of Parthenon Capital.

Intermedix Corporation, the leading provider of technology-based business services to emergency healthcare service providers, announced today the acquisition of EMSystems, LLC (“EMSystems”), a leading provider of web-based healthcare information technology solutions in the public health and emergency services markets.

EMSystems, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will operate under the trade name Intermedix EMSystems as a division of Intermedix Corporation.  EMSystems develops and markets web based solutions that help key emergency healthcare providers and public health stakeholders effectively prepare for, detect, respond to, and provide care for emergencies.   Its range of solutions is widely used with more than 55,000 active users across 45 states and more than 1,400 hospitals.  EMSystems’ solutions include real-time communications, inventory and resource management systems, patient and evacuee tracking, volunteer registry management, EMS dispatch and incident reporting, and state-wide EMS data repository solutions.

Andy Nunemaker, who has led EMSystems as CEO since 2004, will serve as President of Intermedix EMSystems and, along with the EMSystems management team, will develop and market emergency healthcare technology systems for the combined companies.
