Law firm Jenner & Block has hired Jason D. Osborn as a corporate partner for its private equity and M&A practices. Previously, Osborn worked Kirkland & Ellis where he was a partner.
CHICAGO, August 21, 2014 – Jenner & Block LLP is pleased to announce that Jason D. Osborn has joined the firm’s Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions Practices as a corporate partner in the Chicago office. An experienced private equity lawyer, Mr. Osborn will focus on representing private equity funds and public and private company clients in complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, going-private transactions, joint ventures, divestitures, private financings, recapitalizations and restructurings, and in related corporate governance, executive compensation and general corporate matters.

Mr. Osborn, who previously worked as a partner in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, has handled matters on behalf of Harren Equity Partners, Hudson Ferry Capital, Prairie Equity, Liberty Partners, GTCR, Evergreen Pacific Partners, Parthenon Capital and other well-known financial firms. He has led transactions in a wide variety of industries, including health care, financial services, retail services and manufacturing.
