JMP Securities has appointed Carin Fradin as a managing director for its investment banking unit. Previously, Fradin was a managing director at Four Oaks Partners.

Based in the firm’s San Francisco office, Ms. Fradin will bolster JMP Securities’ investment banking efforts in the medical device sector.

Prior to joining JMP Securities, Ms. Fradin was a managing director at Four Oaks Partners, a transaction advisory firm serving the life sciences industry, where she focused on the medical device space. She was previously a managing director and senior advisor at boutique investment bank Sagent Advisors. Ms. Fradin also spent 12 years in healthcare investment banking at UBS Investment Bank, most recently as a managing director, concentrating on the medical device and medical technology industries. For approximately half of her tenure at the firm, Ms. Fradin additionally led the U.S. execution of all cross-border medical technology transactions originated in Asia. Ms. Fradin holds a BA in mathematics and psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
