Jobs of the week: Lazard, Partners Group, McNally and BlackRock are hiring

Lazard is interviewing for a vice president/private equity deal manager of its private fund advisory group. The hire will assist in evaluating and tracking market developments. The candidate will lead several deal management teams as the primary banker in conducting fund due diligence, preparing marketing materials, while being the day-to-day contact with general partners (with minimal supervision from senior bankers). Also, he or she will communicate and strategize with the Lazard fundraising salesforce throughout the marketing process to close LP commitments. Private equity fundraising experience is preferred. The position is in New York City.

Partners Group is recruiting for a vice president of portfolio company operations (consumer and retail vertical). The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the firm’s portfolio companies to identify and execute value creation projects from the due diligence through the exit process. Also, he or she will work alongside the investment teams to source, assess, execute, monitor and exit private equity transactions. Candidates should have plus 10 years of relevant work experience, or an MBA degree with plus 8 years of relevant work experience.

Tregaron Capital is looking to hire a private equity associate. Duties include performing investment due diligence, providing strategic and operational assistance with portfolio companies and preparing investment memorandums, portfolio reports and investor communications. Candidates should have one to three years in investment banking, accounting or private equity. The job is in the San Francisco Bay area.

McNally Capital is looking to add two positions, a private equity senior associate and a private equity portfolio associate, to its Chicago team. The private equity senior associate will support the firm’s private equity direct investment efforts, including live deal diligence and execution. Specific duties include analyzing investment opportunities (i.e. investment screen, investment memo, valuation models, industry/competitor research) and sourcing debt capital to support transaction execution. The ideal candidate should have two to four years of prior experience, including investment banking or private equity.

And, the private equity portfolio associate will primarily support all aspects of portfolio company management and secondarily support new deal execution. Initially, the hire’s responsibilities will be split roughly between McNally Capital’s four current portfolio companies although allocation among  companies will evolve as the number grows. BlackRock is searching for an investment analyst/associate to beef up its New York City team. The hire will assist in identifying, evaluating and executing investments. They will aid in the process of realizing investments, as well as conducting analysis and due diligence. Also, he or she will work with legal and financial advisors on transaction structure and optimization, while maintaining internal deal tracking tools and performing other portfolio management responsibilities. Applicants should have a minimum of one year of relevant work experience, including but not limited to investment banking, credit research or private equity.
