Jobs of the week: Antares Capital, Cantor Fitzgerald, CPPIB and Blackstone are hiring

Antares Capital is seeking to add a managing director to its New York team. The hire will focus on sourcing, underwriting, documenting and closing technology, media and telecom lending transactions, primarily with private equity sponsors. Candidates should have an MBA as well as 10 plus years of direct leveraged finance experience (debt originations and/or debt underwriting) with industry expertise in TMT.

Cantor Fitzgerald is looking to hire a chief of staff to the CEO Howard Lutnick. The individual’s duties include preparing for and facilitating “critical path” CEO meetings; providing proactive identification of issues that could impact the successful execution of the CEO’s commitments; and developing draft communication on behalf of the CEO. Also, he or she will coordinate projects or commitments directly involving the CEO and his direct reports. Travel is involved as the chief of staff will accompany the CEO when he travels. A minimum of eight years of work experience is required; an MBA, JD, or MPP is desirable.

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board is interviewing for an investment risk director. The hire will lead the team in the development of risk models (market, credit, counterparty, etc.) and measures across all of the investment programs. Also, he or she will support the broader investment risk team from a quantitative perspective in assessing and enhancing existing risk models and developing new models as appropriate.

Bridges Ventures is recruiting for a vice president of private equity. The VP will be primarily responsible for leading the due diligence, investment underwriting and portfolio management processes across numerous opportunities. Also, he or she will work with intermediaries, executives and business owners to originate new investment themes and potential targets. Candidates should have two to four years of prior private equity experience and two to four years of investment banking experience or similar financial training with demonstrated ability for strong commercial judgment and investment analysis. Blackstone is interviewing for an investment associate. The hire will conduct fundamental research to underwrite potential investments across asset classes including equity, credit, hard assets and private investments. Also, he or she will construct detailed financial models on individual securities and communicate with hedge fund managers and industry experts to formulate investment theses. Two to five years of industry experience is required.
