Jobs of the week: CPPIB, Cambridge, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are hiring

Cambridge Associates is looking to hire a managing director of pension investments. Duties include leading teams in creating and developing diversified portfolios to enable increased returns and lower surplus volatility consistent with time horizon, risk tolerance and liquidity needs of clients. The hire will conduct analyses, prepare materials and direct clients on investment and financial issues. The job is based in Boston.

Spitfire Capital Advisors is seeking a vice president/executive director of mergers and acquisitions for its London office. Candidates should be experienced M& A bankers and have a record of leading the execution of complex M&A transactions, preferably with a focus on the asset management sector.

Canada Pension Plan Investment Board is recruiting for an associate for its global tactical asset allocation group. Responsibilities include contributing to an active commodity portfolio, focusing on agricultural commodities while also contributing across different commodities’ sectors. The hire will develop models using agricultural and weather data to forecast changes in relative commodity market risks and returns. Applicants should have a minimum of four years of relevant work experience covering the agricultural sector in commodities. The position is in Toronto.

Goldman Sachs is looking to hire an analyst for its AIMS private equity group in Salt Lake City. Duties include maintaining and fostering private equity manager relationships as well as attending and writing reports for private equity manager meetings, which may involve travel. He or she will also analyze and make recommendations on private equity fund consents, amendments and other major matters. Candidates should have up to two years of professional experience, preferably in the financial industry.

Morgan Stanley is interviewing for an analyst for its private equity secondary investments. Duties include creating and executing financial analyses in support of the investment process as well as participating in diligence sessions involving top partners from leading private equity funds. Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree and have one year of full-time experience in a finance, investment or strategy consulting-oriented role. He or she must be available to start by July 1, 2015 for consideration. The position is in suburban Philadelphia.
