Guggenheim Partners is seeking a vice president of compliance for its Chicago office. The hire will be responsible for the daily oversight of the advertising review process, which includes supervising a team of compliance associates as well as executing internal processes and controls around the review of communications materials. Applicants should have experience with a variety of investment funds. An in-depth knowledge of SEC/FINRA advertising rules and GIPS standards are required.

Silicon Valley Bank is looking to hire a director of private equity services. He or she will drive the primary banking relationships with both domestic and international private equity and venture capital firms for SVB. Candidate must be willing to travel up to 50 percent of the time. Applicants should have eight-plus years of commercial lending or related experience. Position is in Vienna, Virginia.

Duff & Phelps is seeking to add an M&A managing director to its team. Responsibilities include creating and managing new deal flow and originating new client engagements that fit the strategy of the firm’s investment banking unit. Also, the hire will call on private equity firms to get engaged on debt financings related to portfolio company acquisitions, loan amendments, financial restructurings and dividend recaps. He or she should have FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses.

GQR Global Markets is seeking to hire a private equity controller. Duties include tracking fund and investment performance as well as overseeing the calculation and distribution of investor capital calls and distribution notices. Applicants should have 10 years of experience and at least three years of experience at a private equity firm. A CPA license is a plus. 3i Group plc is recruiting for a private equity associate for its New York office. Duties include analyzing market sectors to identify potential investment opportunities. The associate is a two- to three-year program that has the potential of being permanent based on the applicant’s performance and firm’s requirements.

Pathway Capital Management is seeking an investment analyst for private equity funds. The hire will perform initial and in-depth quantitative and qualitative reviews of potential private equity fund investments and discuss findings with senior level professionals. This entry-level position is in West Warwick, Rhode Island. Candidates should have one to three years of full-time experience in investment banking, consulting, audit, investment management, accounting or other similar fields.
