Guggenheim Partners is seeking a vice president of compliance for its Chicago office. The hire will be responsible for the daily oversight of the advertising review process, which includes supervising a team of compliance associates as well as executing internal processes and controls around the review of communications materials. Applicants should have experience with a variety of investment funds. An in-depth knowledge of SEC/FINRA advertising rules and GIPS standards are required.

Silicon Valley Bank is looking to hire a director of private equity services. He or she will drive the primary banking relationships with both domestic and international private equity and venture capital firms for SVB. Candidate must be willing to travel up to 50 percent of the time. Applicants should have eight-plus years of commercial lending or related experience. Position is in Vienna, Virginia.

Duff & Phelps is seeking to add an M&A managing director to its team. Responsibilities include creating and managing new deal flow and originating new client engagements that fit the strategy of the firm’s investment banking unit. Also, the hire will call on private equity firms to get engaged on debt financings related to portfolio company acquisitions, loan amendments, financial restructurings and dividend recaps. He or she should have FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses.

GQR Global Markets is seeking to hire a private equity controller. Duties include tracking fund and investment performance as well as overseeing the calculation and distribution of investor capital calls and distribution notices. Applicants should have 10 years of experience and at least three years of experience at a private equity firm. A CPA license is a plus.
