Jobs of the week: Wellington, Pegasus Capital, Citi and Bainbridge are hiring

Pegasus Capital Group is seeking candidates with a successful track record as CEO or company president to fill operational or board-level roles for current and future portfolio companies. The firm is looking for executives who have expertise in a wide variety of industries that include engineered metals and electrical products, industrial machinery and equipment, as well as food and consumer products manufacturing. And, although Pegasus is in Los Angeles, the portfolio companies may be based anywhere in the U.S. and Canada. Prior private equity experience is a plus but not required.

Hercules Technology Growth Capital is interviewing for a managing director. He or she will source new deals; deliver written and oral analyses of investment opportunities; negotiate and structure investments; participate in the due diligence process; oversee a team of principals, associates and analysts during the preparation of diligence materials and financial models; and closely track industry trends. This position will report to the chief investment officer. Applicants should have a minimum of seven years of prior work experience (with a life science /tech industry focus) in investment banking, venture capital, private equity or leveraged finance.

Zurich Alternative Asset Management is looking for a director of private equity. The hire will play an integral part in identifying and selecting funds and direct private equity investment opportunities; cultivating relationships with managers; leading investment analysis and due diligence on investments; and recommending investment and divestment opportunities to the private equity team and to the Zurich Alternative Asset Management Investment Committee. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in business administration, finance, economics or related field, plus seven years of experience in the job offered, or as a private equity and investment professional.  He or she must be willing to travel globally at least once per quarter. The job is in New York City.

Bainbridge Capital is seeking a mergers and acquisitions director/senior manager at its office in San Diego. Duties include managing client relationships and a team of sales professionals, while developing new investment relationships. He or she will offer strong marketing and lead origination skills, particularly in relation to identifying, sourcing, creating and executing new opportunities. Candidates should have five years of investment banking sales or financial services experience; an MBA is preferred.

Wellington Management is currently seeking a private equity principal for its Boston office. Duties include leading the execution, implementation and evolution of the strategy for Wellington’s private equity investments globally, as well as building and developing the team. He or she will play a critical role in ensuring that the private equity group has the resources, fiduciary oversight, infrastructure and processes to meet the evolving needs of clients. Applicants should have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in a private markets investment or a management role preferably at a private equity firm.

Citi is currently recruiting for a vice president of private equity funds in New York City. The hire will be responsible for a broad spectrum of financial and accounting matters affecting the company’s private equity clients. Applicants should have a strong background in accounting for alternative investment funds with a focus on private equity; proven client management skills; and the ability to manage and lead a team in monitoring client deliverables and meeting deadlines. Applicants should have seven to 10 years experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investments funds; private equity experience a plus.
