Johansson Joins Cogent Partners

Niklas Johansson has joined Cogent Partners has a senior advisor in Europe. He will assist with expanding Cogent’s relationships in the Nordic region. Johansson is the founder of NJ Capital Advisors AB.

Cogent Partners, the private equity-focused investment bank,

announced today that Niklas Johansson has joined the company in Europe as a Senior Advisor.

He will primarily assist Cogent with expanding the firm’s relationships in the Nordic region.

Mr. Johansson is the founder of NJ Capital Advisors AB, a Stockholm-based firm which focuses

on advising institutional clients in alternative asset management. In addition, he is the

Chairman of the Swedish state-owned pharmacy’s pension trust (“Apotekets Pensionsstiftelse”),

the Chairman of the (Swedish) trust of Telia Pensionsstiftelse, and a member of the Board of

Directors of Catella AB, a pan-European financial institution. He is also a Member of the

European Venture Capital Association’s Private Equity Risk Management Guidelines Working

Group. Mr. Johansson was formerly Head of External Management at Skandia Life Insurance

Company and Group CEO of Carnegie Investment Bank, among other positions.

Mr. Johansson holds a BsC from the University of Linköping, an MBA from the University of
