John Paynter Joins Greenhill & Co.

John Paynter, former vice chairman of JPMorgan Cazenove, has joined Greenhill & Co. as a senior advisor.


Greenhill & Co., Inc.  (NYSE:  GHL), a  leading independent investment bank, announced today that John Paynter will join the  firm as a Senior Advisor.  Mr. Paynter, who has had a distinguished career at Cazenove
and latterly JPMorgan Cazenove, will focus on expanding Greenhill’s advisory activities.  Mr. Paynter, 54, has 29 years of experience in corporate broking and financial advisory at  Cazenove where he worked with some of the largest UK companies across many  different sectors.  He retired as Vice Chairman of JPMorgan Cazenove in 2008.

Mr. Paynter is a non-executive director of Standard Chartered PLC and Jardine Lloyd  Thompson Group plc.
