Jonathan LaCrosse Leaves Centinela Capital

Jonathan LaCrosse has quietly left Centinela Capital Partners, where he had been a founding partner. No word yet on why he left, or where’s he’s going.

Prior to joining Centinela, LaCrosse had founded JDL Alternative Investment Consulting. Before that, he oversaw private equity investing for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, where he helped invest over $3.1 billion into 121 different funds.

Centinela is a New York-based alternative asset manager, which provides a portfolio of discretionary services. Most notably, the firm manages the Capital Link program for CalPERS, which serves as a fund-of-funds for emerging managers throughout the private equity food chain (VC, expansion, LBO, etc.). So far, that program has committed over $550 million to 26 funds (get details here).

peHUB has reached out to both LaCrosse and Centinela managing partner Cesar Baez. I’ll update this post if either respond, although my guess is that both have contractually agreed not to say anything too interesting about the other.
