JPMorgan Tech M&A Chief Resigns

Karl Will, head of global technology M&A for JPMorgan Chase, has resigned, peHUB has learned. A bank spokeswoman declined to comment on either his departure or on possible replacements.

Will joined JPMorgan in October 2003, after having served as co-head of global tech M&A for Merrill Lynch. Before that, he spent five years as head of tech M&A for Alex.Brown, Banker’s Trust and Deutche Bank. He also spent time at Credit Suisse.

Among the deals Will worked on for JPMorgan was HP’s $13.9 billion acquisition of Electronic Data Systems. In addition to serving as head of glboal tech M&A for JPMorgan Chase, he also oversaw Western U.S. M&A.
