Korean investor consortium buys Systran

A Korean investor consortium that includes STIC Investments, SoftBank Korea, Korea Investment Partners and Korea Investment Securities, has acquired Systran, an AI-based translation technology company.

A Korean investor consortium that includes STIC Investments, SoftBank Korea, Korea Investment Partners and Korea Investment Securities, has acquired Systran, an AI-based translation technology company. No financial terms were disclosed. As a result of the deal, STIC Investments Inc is now the majority shareholder, owning a 51 percent stake in Systran.

STIC Investments Inc., now the majority shareholder with 51% of SYSTRAN shares, is one of the largest and most experienced private equity firms in Korea.
