Kraton Files To Sell 8 Million Shares

Kraton Performance Polymers filed Tuesday with the SEC to sell 8 million shares of common stock. If the underwriters exercise their overallotment iotuib, the shares to be sold will total 9.2 million. TPG Capital and J.P. Morgan Chase are selling the stock. Kraton, a specialty chemicals maker, said it won’t receive any proceeds from the offering.

Kraton Performance Polymers, Inc. (NYSE: KRA), a leading global producer of styrenic block copolymers, filed a registration statement on From S-1 in connection with the sale of up to 8,000,000 shares of its common stock (9,200,000 shares if the underwriters exercise their over-allotment option in full) by affiliates of TPG Capital, L.P. and J.P. Morgan Partners, LLC.  The Company will not receive any proceeds from the offering, and the total number of shares of common stock outstanding will not change as a result of this offering.
