Laurel Bowden Joins Greylock Israel

Greylock Partners Israel, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in information and media technology companies, today announced the appointment of Laurel Bowden as a Partner. Bowden, a veteran investor and former GE executive, joins Greylock Israel from JVP, where she led many of the firm's Israeli and European successful investments including QLIKTECH, and EARNIX, over a six year career.

Bowden joins the firm's three other General Partners, Moshe Mor, Erez Ofer and Yoram Snir.

Prior to joining Greylock Israel, Bowden was a General Partner at JVP in London, where she led the firm's European investment and business development effort, primarily in software, internet and wireless markets.

Prior to JVP, Laurel was a Director at GE Capital in London. She worked for the President of GE Capital Europe, where she led a team responsible for principal acquisitions in consumer and transport finance in Europe. Laurel also led the establishment of GE's early stage tech investment vehicle.

Before GE Capital, Laurel worked for the MAC Consulting Group (later Gemini Consulting. Laurel holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from INSEAD.
