Thomas A Waldman has joined law firm Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth‘s corporate practice group. Previously, Waldman was managing director, legal at The Gores Group. There he served as general counsel for the Gores Small Capitalization Partners fund and several of the private equity firm’s portfolio companies.

Waldman as a shareholder in the firm’s Santa Monica office and a member of the firm’s Corporate practice group. Prior to joining Stradling, Waldman was Managing Director, Legal at The Gores Group, LLC, a Los Angeles based private equity firm. He acted as general counsel to the Gores Small Capitalization Partners fund and several of its portfolio companies.

At Stradling, Waldman will focus primarily on private equity transactions. In over 20 years representing Gores and other private equity firms, he has advised on platform and add-on investments, portfolio company legal matters, and exit transactions. He also has experience in public-to-private buyouts, structured equity investments, distressed investments, and fund formation.
