PRESS RELEASE

November 12, 2018 – Charles Lemon joins global private equity fund advisor Triago as a partner in the firm’s London office. Lemon is responsible for the origination and execution of fundraising mandates and will offer advisory solutions for general partners across primary and secondary markets throughout Europe.
Prior to his appointment, Lemon was a partner for seven years at pan-European fund manager Agilitas Private Equity. He led the fundraising efforts for Agilitas’ 2013 and 2015-vintage private equity funds, as well as for a number of co-investment vehicles. He also developed Agilitas’ marketing and branding strategy. Earlier, Lemon was a partner in the private funds group at Matrix, a diversified financial services firm. As part of a startup placement team at Matrix, he built a pan-European network of private equity fund investors and successfully raised capital for a diverse range of international private equity and venture capital strategies.
“Charles’ knowledge of the pan-European fundraising market, his entrepreneurial spirit and his appreciation of the importance of excellence in client services – all refined over decades – single him out as an ideal choice,” says Antoine Drean, chairman and founder of Triago. “We are extremely happy to welcome him as a partner.”
Lemon began his career at investment bank Brown Brothers Harriman, where he rose through the global custody department, eventually managing a team of six account executives running relationships with financial institutions in France, Belgium, Spain and Monaco.
Triago’s newest partner earned a BA Joint Honours degree in Modern Languages from Bristol University. In addition to his native English, Lemon speaks French and Spanish.
Lemon’s appointment is part of Triago’s ongoing global expansion. So far in 2018 the firm has made seven senior and junior hires across the New York, Paris and London offices, bringing total staff numbers to 34.
“We’re growing in response to both an expanding market and evolving client expectations,” says Mathieu Drean, Triago managing partner. “These hires allow us to be in the vanguard at a time when clients require more attention and more value-added services.”
